Portfolio Calculate (“we,” “us,” “this site”) operates the free dividend-portfolio tool at portfoliocalculate.com. This policy explains what information is — and is not — handled when you use it. By using the site you agree to this policy.
Your portfolios stay on your device
Everything you build in the tool — the stocks and ETFs you add, your share counts, cost basis, any price overrides, and your groups — is processed entirely in your own web browser. It is never sent to our servers, never stored by us, and never shared with anyone.
What is stored locally
To make your portfolios available when you return, the tool saves them in your browser’s local storage (under the key pc-portfolios). This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and you can erase it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
Market-data lookups
When you search for a ticker or add a holding, the tool asks our server to fetch market data (prices, dividends, and company figures such as market cap, P/E, payout ratio and beta) from Yahoo Finance. Only the ticker symbol you type is forwarded — never your holdings, share counts, cost basis, amounts, or identity. These lookups are cached to reduce load.
Hosting and technical logs
This site is served by Cloudflare, which may process standard technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site securely and may keep short-lived request logs, as described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We do not access or analyze personal data from these systems for our own purposes.
Third-party resources
The site loads web fonts from Google Fonts and the React library from the cdnjs content delivery network. Your browser contacts those services to fetch these files, which involves your IP address and is subject to their own privacy policies.
Advertising
We may display advertising (such as Google AdSense) to keep the site free. If and when advertising is active, ad providers may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites:
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and/or other sites.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or via aboutads.info.
Cookies
The tool itself sets no cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies for security. Advertising cookies, if any, are covered in the section above.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
You can clear your saved portfolios anytime through your browser settings, block cookies, or use the site without ever adding personal information — the tool never asks for your name, email, or account.
